Art is a subject that will engage, challenge and inspire all pupils from Foundation to Year 6 and through their school journey pupils will produce creative work, explore ideas and record their experiences. Our children will become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques. They will learn about great artists, craft makers and designers and be confident evaluating and analysing different art. Our vision is that as children progress they will be able to think critically and develop rigorous understanding of art and design. Pupils will know how art and design both reflect and shape history and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
