Home Reading

Your child’s reading book will be changed on a Tuesday and Friday if they have read it at home twice. Reading the book at least twice will help the children becoming more fluent in their reading. Please write in their reading diary that you have heard them read as we use this to inform us that they have been heard. It is really important that you hear your child read on a regular basis. (Ideally at least 4 times a week.) During the first half term, the children will have some time each day where they will read their school book. After half term these times will be replaced by Guided Reading sessions where the class all focus on one book and have tasks related to this book
