A musical interlude
18th April 2014
A group of KS2 pupils had an exciting day out of their usual lessons at MCPA, joining children from our cluster schools at an orchestra day.
The event was held at Chenderit school and was open to KS2 pupils who are learning to play musical instruments. The children had a great time finding out more about the instruments they play and how to perform in a large group. They began with some pieces familiar to them from their own lessons and then worked for the rest of the day on a new work and arrangement written by one of the music teachers.
It was a valuable experience for any budding musician and boosted the confidence of some who were initially wary of the large setting. Well done, the adults who were there said it sounded amazing!
