For 2024/2025 we have three classes in Year 1/2 taught by Mrs Casey, Mrs Clifton and Miss Webb supported by Teaching Assistants Miss Grundy, Miss Gillett, Mrs Davies, Mrs Cheesman and Miss Nutt.  Doors to the classes open from 8.45am when staff are ready to welcome and settle the children into their learning activities. Registration is at 8.55am. Lunch is from 12.00  – 1.00pm. Children who go home to lunch should return between five and ten minutes before the start of their afternoon lessons at 1.00pm.

The afternoon session finishes at 3.15pm. Children usually leave classes within 5 minutes of these end times and will be handed over to parents/carers from the classroom doors which open onto the playground.

PE

Please can you send PE kit into school on a Monday and we will send it home on a Friday. Children need clothing suitable for the outdoors and indoors. Please note the children will not be needing clothing for outdoor adventure. The children will need black/navy tracksuit top and bottoms, suitable footwear for going on the field (trainers), a green/white PE t-shirt and black/navy PE shorts.

Please also send a carrier bag for muddy shoes as we will be on the field for some sessions. Spare socks might also be useful. Please can you ensure long hair is tied back on PE days.

Pick Up

Pick up time is 3:15pm. If you haven’t done so already, please email the office with a list of any adults, other than parents, who will be regularly collecting your child and on which days that will be. Please notify the class teacher, or the office, if the arrangements change or if a different adult is collecting as a one-off. If you haven’t already done so, please can you also let us know if your child is attending Highflyers, whether it be a regular arrangement or a one-off.
