Religious Education
In addition to the National Curriculum subjects, all schools are required to offer Religious Education. We follow the Agreed Syllabus for schools in Northamptonshire, a copy of which can be seen at school. Religious education is taught as a separate subject, usually to the whole class, and through Assemblies. Children learn about the central beliefs of Christians and other major faiths represented in Britain and how belief can influence ways of living.
Pupils may be withdrawn from both Religious Education lessons and the act of worship at the request of their parents, and arrangements will be made for supervision of these children. Anyone considering this is asked to discuss it with the Headteacher before a formal request is made.
Please see the separate tab for more information on our assemblies and their content.
