Remembrance
13th Nov 2018
A huge thank you to all of the family and friends who came along to join our Remembrance Assembly last week. Mrs Rayner led us through song and prayer followed by two minutes silence to remember those who have given their lives in our defence, through times of war and conflict. Our Key Stage 2 children made poppy wreaths and our Key Stage 1 children made 100 poppies for 100 years of remembrance which were displayed on the school railings and windows. The children in Year 4 have been studying the Second World War for their history topic. They were set the task of researching how members of their own family were involved with or affected by World War 2 and the children rose to this challenge with amazing results.
