The year 5 have been very busy this term learning all about Cooking and Nutrition. Last week they designed, made and tasted smoothies using a wide variety of ingredients, some of which were a little eclectic to say the least but also surprisingly tasty. Cucumber and carrot with various fruits worked surprisingly well. Hopefully some of the pupils have been recreating their masterpieces at home. This week they were responsible for preparing and serving their own healthy lunch which they shared together. Pupils identified the food groups making up the meal and considered how they could adapt it.
