Holdenby Hall
22nd Oct 2013
In June 2013, the Year 4 children had a wonderful visit to Holdenby Hall, Northamptonshire as part of their topic on life in World War 2. They were given a label and ration book and took part in a number of hands-on activities required for them to become evacuees: learning about rations and practicing cooking with them, visiting an air raid shelter and talking to the Major about the items he carries into battle in his kitbag. It was a fascinating day for children and adults alike.
