Year 6 on Liddington
13th Oct 2015
As promised, here are a few words from some of our Year 6 pupils about their residential trip to PGL Liddington...
"When I went to Liddington, I had the best time of my life! It was a great way for us to get to know our teachers and each other. During our week away lots of people faced their fear of heights. At Liddington we all had a dorm of 2, 4 or 6. I shared a dorm with some of my best friends and that was the best thing – having your friends with you. But it wasn’t the only best thing! After we had unpacked, we went for our first meal. It was amazing, there was a salad bar and we got dessert! We also found out that we were going to get three hot meals a day! We did lots of fun activities: Jacob’s Ladder, Vertical Challenge, mountain biking, trapeze, Aeroball, zipwire, abseiling, canoeing, giant swing and lots more. My favourite activity was the giant swing!" (Chloe)
"I would like to say a huge well done to all our Year 6 team who went to Liddington. They were a great example for our school. Year 6 done loads of different activities. Some favourites were big swing where you get connected to a metal bar with your harness and helmets on. You are with a partner connected to the bar. When you are all secure, everybody else pulls a black rope to your PGL person… This will go on until the two people feel they don’t want to go any higher. After that, one of the people who are connected to the bar pull a cord. This will drop you and swing you.
