Success of the Christmas Carols

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out on Monday evening to join us for carol singing in the playground.

 

 

The response was overwhelming with around 300 people of all ages joining in the festivities. It was particularly lovely to see entire families present, including babies and grandparents. Special thanks go to the Middleton Cheney Singers who were in very fine voice, leading the singing and volunteering their time freely. Some of our younger children enjoyed singing along to Little Donkey which they have been learning with Mrs Yardley-Barnes and a rather enthusiastic group of staff members could be seen adding in all the actions to The Twelve Days of Christmas!

The Parents’ Association were overwhelmed by the support, particularly as this was a new venture and no one knew how well attended it would be. The support far exceeded all expectations and sales from the mulled wine and mince pies has added another £200 towards this year’s fundraising for an upgraded school ICT suite.
