Celebration Time
16th July 2017
This Friday saw our second Celebration Assembly held on the school playground so that family, Parents Association members and other guests could come along to share our pride in our amazing children. It really is wonderful to be able to celebrate the achievements made by many of our pupils, both within and outside of school. Students were presented with medals and certificates that they had won for a variety of reasons such as dance, football, BMX and even triathlon. Also awarded were trophies for the winning Sports Day Houses (Lemurs - KS1 and Jaguars KS2) and for the House with the most Housepoints earned throughout the year - very well done to all of the Jaguars.
Although this was only our second playground assembly, achievements are being made each week by our students so every Friday assembly is a time to celebrate together and students are encouraged to share about the exams they are passing outside of school, the competitions they are taking part in and the awards they are winning. As well as this, a different school value is focused on each week and teachers comment on how well their class has performed to display this value. The classes with the highest grading are celebrated and receive a certificate to display in their classrooms. This week the awards for teamwork went to 1H (Miss Hammond's class) and 5G/D (Mrs Grant/MrsDing).
This special assembly was also the perfect time to say a huge thank you to all of the parents who worked so hard on planning and running the recent school fair. Our wonderful Parents Association raised a magnificent £2,500 for our children.
