Online safety for all ages

This week the Year 1 children have begun to learn how to keep safe when using the internet, looking at ‘personal information’ such as full name, age, address and where you go to school.

CEOP have a fantastic online resource for children and their parents/carers to learn more about online safety in a fun and interactive way. They have separate pages specifically for 5-7s, 8-10s, 11-13s, 14+ and a page for parents/carers. Visit them at www.thinkuknow.co.uk

 

 

Year 1 have also been practicing their catagorisation skills in Numeracy. They were given a selection of 2-d and 3-d shapes and asked to sort them in any way they liked.  They chose lots of different ways including by colour, size, number of sides and by the shape of their faces.
