Canal Fun
29th Feb 2016
Last week Year 2 spent a lovely day looking in detail at our topic of Canals. We had visitors from Banbury Museum who brought plenty of resources and artefacts to help us learn more about the history of the Oxford Canal and what it would have been like to live and work on it. The children had the opportunity to dress up as boatman Bill and his wife Sarah, looked at canal art and made their own version of a roses and ribbons plate. It was a fun and informative day and I’m sure the children will long remember the things they learnt.
