Toilet Twins
30th Jan 2016
Our children are very pleased with the transformation of the two toilet blocks near the KS1 area which was completed over the summer. They are bright, clean and the hand dryers with blue LEDs underneath are a real hit!
Sadly, not every school in the world has such fantastic facilities, indeed some do not have toilets or clean water at all which is very bad news for the health of the children. On 12 February, we would like to do our bit towards changing that by raising enough money for a toilet block to be built at a school in one of the poorest communities on the planet. We would like to invite every child to attend school on that day in non-uniform and bring a donation of £1 so that we can be a part of the Toilet Twinning initiative. £240 will provide a school with decent toilets, clean water and all the information they need to stay healthy. We will receive a framed certificate with a photo of the toilet we are twinned with which can be proudly displayed near our own toilets and we even get GPS co-ordinates so we can trace it online!
We very much hope that you will join us in supporting this worthwhile cause and help us raise the £240 required. It is a great opportunity for our pupils to learn about and raise money for children in other parts of the world.
