Athletics Success

Congratulations to everyone who represented our school last night as part of the Year 5/6 indoor athletics team. They were placed first!

17 children went to Chenderit school to compete against seven other schools within our cluster. They took part in a variety of events – hurdle relays, running relays and obstacle races as well as field events – chest push, javelin, vertical jump, speed bounce, triple jump and standing jump. As well as proving themselves successful athletes Mrs Clifton who accompanied them was proud of their sense of sportsmanship and commented on how well they motivated and encouraged one another.

The team now progress to the District round on 4 February.
