A ukulele takeover
21st Jan 2014
Sweet, sweet sounds will soon be emanating from the Year 3/4 classrooms as the children have begun playing the ukulele. Every child has been given the opportunity to learn the instrument, funded by the school and the children are learning as whole classes. It's lots of fun and they are very much looking forward to showing their skills at a concert for parents at the end of term. In previous years the children have taken a great deal of pride in their developing skills, learning to listen closely and follow detailed instructions and seeing clearly the progress they can make by practicing hard at a new skill. For many it supports their developing self-esteem. It's also lots of fun playing with others so well done Year 3/4, we look forward to hearing your performance soon.
