Mr Percival
29th Jan 2016
By now you may have heard the news that Mr Percival will be retiring at the end of the school year. By the end of July he will have been Headteacher for 19 years and as he told the children in assembly this morning, after reading them every single Frog and Toad story he knows, he feels it is time for someone else to tell some different stories.
Our Governing Body have a difficult task ahead finding the right person to take over the helm and keep our school family flourishing. That process is already underway and the children themselves will be involved in it. The School Council will be gathering feedback from their classes on what they would like to see in our next Headteacher. We suspect many of the positive traits they list will be those we have seen in Mr Percival over the years but we hope they will also have some new ideas. We are also planning to film some of the children talking about what they feel makes MCPA so special so that potential applicants will be able to see the heart and ethos of our school. We want a very special person for such a very special group of children and staff and every person involved in the recruitment process will be working hard to ensure that happens.
