Spoon Art
24th March 2016
In addition to last month’s canal day where Year 2 immersed themselves in the lives of those who used to live and work alongside the canal, the children have been involved in an art project. After studying traditional canal art they were each given a wooden spoon to decorate using time-honoured roses and castles designs. The children needed to work hard and be very patient as lots of different layers of paint and varnish had to be added over time. We are very grateful to Tesco who kindly donated the wooden spoons to us.
