Canal Art
16th March 2015
Year 2 have been looking at all things canal related this term. As part of the topic they have studied traditional canal art, handling many objects and creating their own artwork which is on display in the school hall.

After practicing the traditional painting styles on paper, the children were each given a wooden spoon to paint and keep. A member of staff approached Banbury store Wilko to ask if they had 60 spoons in stock and to check on prices and was thrilled when Wilko said there would be no charge, donating them to the school from their community fund. Thank you Wilko!
The children will be making a thank you card to send on soon.
