Spirit of the Games Award & Monthly Challenge
Celebrating School Values
The Spirit of the Games celebrates our school values within P.E and Sport across the school. Every half term, two children from each class will be chosen to receive the Spirit of the Games Award. These are children who have gone above and beyond in showing and promoting our school values. Recipients of this award will receive a badge of honour for that half term.

INTRODUCING THE MONTHY CHALLENGE
The monthly challenge is set to encourage pupils to challenge themselves and develop resilience to continue to achieve their personal best in a range of physical activities.
Each month, a new set of challenges will be set, with examples modelled by a chosen member of staff. Pupils are shown how to perform each movement correctly, whilst demonstrating an enjoyment for personal challenge.
When a child has completed an activity, they can log it on the sheet as given below, in pencil and then get it signed by an adult or a trained year 5 Sports Leader. The aim is for the child to then continue to try to beat their score over the course of the month.
When the children have completed their monthly challenges, they can then hand these to their teachers to see which class collectively, achieved the greatest amount of completed challenges.
