Homework
Reading is so important and we ask that children read at least 3 times a week.
We will provide the children with a homework book which will allow the children to record their reading at home, with the aim of recording their reading in their journal three times a week.
This can be with an adult or independently if the pupil is a fluent reader. However, discussing the text with a child is equally important.
In their homework book we will also include their timetable to try and help them to organise themselves.
MyMaths
Their homework will usually consist of weekly Maths work that develops ideas and learning themes from their lessons. The pupils will have their own log-in for My-Maths where most of the work will be set. Work will be set every Wednesday (and is to be completed before the next Wednesday, at least 75% score on each piece) Additional work will be set as and when necessary. Practicing tables is always valuable to developing many areas of maths.
Reading comprehension or SPAG
Reading comprehension or SPAG and this is uploaded onto Microsoft Teams (completed before the next Wednesday) Friday Spelling test and new spellings will be given out.
Times Tables test each Friday Additional tasks from other curriculum areas when required. For most tasks pupils will be given a week to complete, occasionally this may be less if the work is needed for building on in a series of lessons.
