Meet our new CEO
Mon 11 Sep 2023PRIME7 - New CEO
Who am I?
My name is Ian Lowe. I am honoured to be the new CEO of Prime7. I have previously been a Headteacher, Executive Head, Deputy and CEO of various schools. These have predominantly been in the midlands area. I am also a Vice Chair of a Multi-Academy Trust and Chair of Governors at a school.
I have a passion for education that mirrors the Prime7 Values. Ambition, Enjoyment, Resilience, Respect, Inspire, Community and Trust. Enjoyment and community are particularly important as without the support of the community – working with our wonderful staff, children will not make the progress we all wish for. Enjoyment – because children learn best when they are happy and secure. Lessons that are fun and creative enables them to have a fantastic school experience.
My interests
I am blessed with a wife Helen and 3 children. As a family we are sports mad and I regularly play golf and badminton. I am a constantly stressed football supporter as I support my home team of Southampton! I spend most of my free time watching my children play cricket and football.
My Job at Prime7
As a School Trust CEO I am responsible for the education of all the young people in Prime7 academies. I lead the Executive Team, ensuring all of our schools are successful over time in a sustainable way. Young Sports Leaders
Fri 28 Apr 2023At Middleton Cheney Primary Academy, our year 6 children are given the opportunity to complete their Young Sports Leaders' Award, which aims to develop leadership qualities and the skills needed in order to safely deliver activities that engage and enthuse young children.
Following the completion of this qualification, the children take part in our sports leader's programme in school, in which they plan, deliver and evaluate sessions on a weekly basis to key stage one pupils. Their goal is to increase the amount of time in which our children are being physically active. Observations are completed over the course of the year, and regular feedback is provided by teachers in areas such as demonstration, health and safety, and engagement to assist with their progression.
Year on year it is incredible to see the level of responsibility our young sports leaders take in ensuring their sessions are the best they can be and as exciting as possible for the children that attend. The programme is a platform for growth in confidence and professionalism - creating the building blocks for future success.

At Middleton Cheney Primary Academy, we want our children to be confident in their own abilities and to reach their fullest potential through a rich, challenging and ambitious curriculum, high quality teaching and pastoral care. We provide a nurturing and supportive community where every child and adult is valued and respected.

Thank you to our Parents' Association
Mon 05 Dec 2022It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Last week school staff and members of the PTA decorated our school hall and entrance area. A huge thank you goes to our PTA for purchasing some new trees and decorations for us. They look wonderful and the children were very excited to see the school decorated when they arrived this morning.

A huge thank you to Panto Bus
Mon 05 Dec 2022We kicked off the festive season on Friday with a fantastic pantomime performed by The Panto Bus. This year it was the story of Dick Whittington and the cast performed it twice. Once for our Foundation and Key Stage 1 children and once for our children in Key Stage 2. Judging by the positive comments and the joy on the faces of the audience as they left the performances, I would say that a good time was had by all.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Panto Bus Company for putting on the performances free of charge. Over the last couple of years we have had to watch an online version of the pantomime in classes so to be able to come together as a school community and watch the performance live was a real treat.
