Chinese New Year
Fri 04 Feb 2022Our children in Foundation have been learning about Chinese New-year. Both classes have looked at how it is celebrated all over the world. They have made Chinese dragons from paper, folding it carefully and adding a head and tail. They have painted the animals form the story, found out the animal of their year of birth and even had a go at their own dragon dance accompanied by their own Chinese music. They have also tasted Chinese food and set up their own Chinese restaurant in the classrooms. They learnt that Chinese dragons are friendly and are often red and gold, colours which symbolize good luck.

OFSTED Good Provider
Mon 31 Jan 2022We are delighted that we can at last share the outcome of our OFSTED inspection that took place last term. We are pleased to inform you that the outcome was that the school remains good. As a team we are delighted that the report acknowledges the caring and nurturing environment that we strive to provide for our pupils and in turn the way the pupils care and look after each other. I know speaking to the inspector during his visit, he felt strongly that the children spoke very positively about their school and again this positivity has been reflected within the report.
We are also pleased to see that the report recognises the high expectations staff have for pupils academically, as well as their behaviour and all of the work that we have been doing on further developing our curriculum. I would like to thank all of the staff, children and parents, who as a team make Middleton Cheney Primary Academy such a special place.
